We spent the weekend at a stamp convention in Mesquite, Texas. It's about a 4 hour drive from where we live. My sweet husband is such a wonderful sport to have taken me there. The stamp convention was the Stamp Scrap and Art Tour. It may not be a huge convention, but I enjoy this convention as it has companies like Stampers Anonymous, Just For Fun, Inky Antics, Lost Coast Designs, Glue Art and Paper Studio, and Stamp La Jolla (and others).
But.... my favorite stop is always Artful Illusions. Oh my....they have some great stamp images AND tons of "goodies" for sale. All sorts of ribbons, charms, trinkets, photo clip art, tags, jewelry .... oh, I could go on and on and on. Needless to say, it is the booth that is ALWAYS packed. You have to time it just right so that you can get in and comfortably look at every little special item they have. I'm always afraid I'll miss something so I usually go back a couple of times.
I did run into my online stamping friends Jeri, Linda, Ellen, and Susan. It was great to see you all. Sorry that I missed out on lunch. See you again in July.
I also had the chance to meet the owners of Glue Art and Paper Studio. I'm on their new design team and I surprised them by being at the show. It was great to meet you both in person ...I am having a great time creating with your wonderful products.
Anyway, I had fun!!! I'm home now. Back to doing some art today. My secret sisters now have cards on the way in the mail, and I finished up a Valentines "bookette" page swap. Feels great to get those done.
I want to wish my friend Michele...the owner of Purple Onion Designs... a very happy birthday today too. Happy Birthday Michele!!!
Back to my art room.
